Merz: Congratulations to the German national basketball team
Berlin, September 14 (Hibya) – German Chancellor Friedrich Merz congratulated the German national basketball team for winning the gold medal at the 2025 European Basketball Championship.
The 2025 European Basketball Championship final was held in Riga, the capital of Latvia. Germany faced Turkey and won the match. By winning the gold medal, the team became EuroBasket champion.
Chancellor Merz said in a statement on social media: “World and European champions — what an incredible achievement!
