President Jakov Milatovic stated after the meeting that relations between the two countries are progressing on the basis of friendship, strength, and partnership.

He noted that they discussed their shared vision for the European future of both nations and highlighted the importance of regional stability and connectivity. Milatovic added that the EU–Western Balkans Summit, to be held in Montenegro in 2026, will be an important opportunity for the region to gain clearer visibility on the European agenda.

Milatovic said that both sides agreed to strengthen cooperation in economic and infrastructure fields, enabling citizens of both countries to feel more tangible benefits of the partnership.

He concluded: “I believe this friendship will create new opportunities in the coming years and provide a better life for the people of both countries.”
