Negative performance in U.S. stock markets
Istanbul, Aug. 7 (Hibya) - U.S. markets posted a negative performance during the trading session.
U.S. markets were dominated by a downward trend during the trading session. All major indices recorded losses, with the sharpest decline seen in the Dow Jones Index.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) fell 0.85% to 53,885.10 points. The Russell 2000 (RUSS 2K), which tracks small-cap companies, declined 0.58% to 3,001.547 points.
The Nasdaq 100 Index dropped 0.39% to 29,373.334 points, while the S&P 500 Index lost 0.18% to 7,709.96 points.
The Nasdaq Composite ended the day with a modest 0.06% loss at 26,348.352 points.
