Negative trend in foreign exchange markets
Istanbul, Aug. 7 (Hibya) - Foreign exchange markets posted a predominantly negative and seller-driven performance during the trading session.
A downward trend dominated foreign exchange markets throughout the trading session. The euro, Japanese yen, British pound and Australian dollar pairs declined, while the U.S. dollar / Canadian dollar pair recorded a modest gain.
The U.S. dollar / Canadian dollar (USD/CAD) pair rose 0.05% to 1.4019.
The British pound / U.S. dollar (GBP/USD) pair slipped 0.0074% to 1.3452, while the euro / U.S. dollar (EUR/USD) pair edged down 0.0087% to trade at 1.1523.
The U.S. dollar / Japanese yen (USD/JPY) pair fell 0.0189% to 158.39, while the Australian dollar / U.S. dollar (AUD/USD) pair declined 0.0711% to 0.7025.
