Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Israel Katz, National Security Minister Itamar Ben‑Gvir, and directors‑general of government ministries held a visit to the western Negev.

Describing the visit as part of a multidisciplinary national effort to strengthen and develop the region, finalize strategic solutions, and fight crime, Netanyahu said, “We are here for one goal; to reclaim the Negev for the State of Israel. This means settlement on a scale we have never seen before. But above all, it means restoring law and order. The Negev has gotten out of control. We will bring it back under control.”

Emphasizing that they will launch a national project to reclaim the Negev, Netanyahu said, “This is a national task of the highest order. This is my first visit as Prime Minister for this purpose.”
