Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said, "I participated in a global virtual summit organized by UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper, attended by more than 40 countries, regarding Iran’s blockade of the Strait of Hormuz."

Noting that the principles of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea should be upheld in Hormuz as in the Black Sea, Sybiha said, "We must not allow Russia to use the Middle East crisis to finance its war machine."

Minister Sybiha noted that Ukraine is already contributing in practical ways to the security of Gulf countries.

Emphasizing the importance of Ukraine’s war experience in the Middle East, Sybiha stated that global security is interconnected.
