The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) stated that the number of displaced persons in Haiti has reached an unprecedented level due to escalating violence and instability.

According to the organization’s latest data, more than 1.4 million people were forced to leave their homes in 2025, marking a 36% increase compared to the end of 2024.

UNOCHA emphasized that the security situation in Haiti is rapidly deteriorating, with clashes between armed groups and political instability having an increasingly severe impact on civilians. The organization highlighted the deepening humanitarian crisis and renewed its call for international support.
