Oreshkin: At the G20, unfriendly countries offered Russia cooperation projects
Moscow, 23 November (Hibya) – Maxim Oreshkin, Deputy Director General of the Russian Presidential Administration, stated that representatives of unfriendly countries proposed economic cooperation projects to Moscow during the G20 summit.
Oreshkin said, “I will not mention specific countries now so as not to embarrass colleagues later. Some countries we consider unfriendly approached us with concrete cooperation proposals to build economic relations with Russia and implement joint projects.”
According to Oreshkin, it was possible to hold constructive discussions on a common agenda with several such countries.
Oreshkin headed the Russian delegation at the G20 summit held on 22–23 November in Johannesburg. All sessions and bilateral meetings were conducted behind closed doors, without media presence.
