Prevot held a phone call with Palestinian Prime Minister Mustafa
Brussels, October 24 (Hibya) – Belgian Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Affairs and Development Cooperation, Maxime Prevot, held a phone conversation with Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Mustafa.
Prevot stated that he spoke with Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammed Mustafa and welcomed the start of the implementation of the Gaza peace plan proposed by U.S. President Donald Trump.
He emphasized that all parties were encouraged to move forward to the next stage and stressed the urgent need for the full implementation of the ceasefire and the unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid. Prevot added, “We agreed that Hamas must be disarmed and have no role in governing Gaza.”
Prevot noted that Belgium continues to maintain good relations with Palestine, saying, “We will continue to provide humanitarian and development assistance to the Palestinian people and support the Palestinian Authority in strengthening its capacity to fulfill its responsibilities, including in Gaza.”
