Qatar condemns Israeli Defense Minister Katz’s visit to Syria
Doha, August 25 (Hibya) – Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz’s entry into Syrian territory and the violation of international borders.

In a statement, the ministry said the entry constituted a violation of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Syrian Arab Republic.
Qatar called on the international community to act urgently to ensure Israel’s compliance with resolutions of international legitimacy and to put an end to repeated attacks on Syrian territory.
The statement particularly highlighted the importance of adhering to the 1974 ceasefire agreement and stressed the need to prevent escalation and tensions in the region.
Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the country’s support for preserving Syria’s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity.
The ministry also said support for ensuring the security, stability and well-being of the Syrian people would continue.
