According to a statement from Qatar's Foreign Ministry, Qatar was represented at the event by Sheikha Hanouf bint Abdulrahman Al Thani, Director of the International Organizations Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Speaking at the event, Hanouf bint Abdulrahman Al Thani said Qatar's hosting of the Second World Summit for Social Development demonstrated its support for multilateral action.

Al Thani said the summit contributed to renewing the international commitment to placing people at the center of the development process and strengthening social justice, solidarity and international cooperation, adding that the Doha Political Declaration provided an important framework for translating international efforts into concrete steps.

Al Thani said the framework contributed to accelerating implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and ensuring that no one is left behind.
