Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani met in Doha with UK Defence Secretary John Healey.

During the meeting, bilateral cooperation between the two countries and ways to support and develop cooperation, particularly in the field of defence, were discussed.

Developments in the military tensions in the region and their serious consequences for regional and international security and stability were also addressed, along with ways to resolve all disputes through peaceful means.

Al Thani stressed the need to stop Iran’s unjustified attacks against Qatar and countries in the region, warning against the irresponsible targeting of vital infrastructure, especially water, food, and energy facilities.

During the meeting, he also emphasized the importance of strengthening coordination, intensifying joint efforts, returning to dialogue, and prioritizing reason and wisdom in order to contain the crisis in a way that ensures global energy security, freedom of navigation, environmental security, and regional stability.
