Rubio: Europe needs to play a greater role in its own security
Washington, August 5 (Hibya) – U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that during his meeting with UK Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband they discussed European security, maritime navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, and Iran's nuclear program.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that during his meeting with UK Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband they discussed Europe's responsibility for its own security as well as developments in the Middle East.
Rubio stated that they exchanged views on the need for Europe to assume a greater role in ensuring its own security.
Rubio added that both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to keeping maritime navigation through the Strait of Hormuz open and also confirmed their determination to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.
