Spain sends search and rescue support to Venezuela
Madrid, June 27 (Hibya) – Spain has deployed a team of 63 personnel and nine search and rescue dogs to Venezuela to support ongoing operations.
Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares announced that a new search and rescue team had been deployed to support operations in Venezuela.
According to the statement, the team, consisting of 63 personnel and nine search and rescue dogs from six autonomous communities (CCAA), has departed for Venezuela.
The operation is being coordinated by Spain's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Spanish Embassy in Caracas, while the assistance provided through the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) is intended to support the Venezuelan people.
Authorities said the deployed team will contribute to search and rescue efforts and that humanitarian assistance activities will continue.
