Washington, June 27 (Hibya) – U.S. President Donald J. Trump announced that he has nominated Lance Schroyer, a law enforcement veteran with decades of experience in Oklahoma, to serve as Director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Trump said Schroyer has more than 29 years of law enforcement experience and previously served with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol and the United States Marine Corps. He added that the nominee has extensive expertise in combating illegal immigration, operational enforcement, and 287(g) law enforcement partnerships.
The statement emphasized that Schroyer could play a key role in apprehending undocumented immigrants with criminal records and carrying out deportation procedures, adding that he would provide strong support for ICE and border security policies.
Trump called on the Senate to "immediately confirm" Schroyer's nomination.
