London, April 8 (Hibya) – UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer stated that they welcome the two-week ceasefire between the United States and Iran, emphasizing that the main objective should be the permanent end of the war.

Highlighting the importance of the ceasefire and future expectations, Starmer said: "The United Kingdom and our allies welcome the two-week ceasefire between the United States and Iran announced today."
Emphasizing lasting stability, Starmer added: "Now the goal must be the permanent end of the war."
Referring to maritime security and international cooperation, Starmer stated: "Together with our international partners, the United Kingdom will work to restore freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz."
