Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha thanked Estonia for its support for Ukraine, the Ukrainian people and children.

In a post on social media, Sybiha said Russia’s targeting of schools in Ukraine is aimed at affecting the country’s future.

Sybiha said, “Russia is targeting our schools because it knows that those learning today will build the Ukraine of tomorrow.”

Emphasizing that Ukraine will continue to build its future as a free, strong country integrated with Europe, Sybiha said classrooms and books are being destroyed in attacks, but Ukraine’s identity, knowledge and determination to shape its own future cannot be erased.

Sybiha highlighted the importance of Estonia’s contributions to rebuilding and strengthening Ukraine’s education system, adding that they also appreciate the support provided through ESTDEV.

Sybiha said every rebuilt school, every reopened classroom and every Ukrainian child able to continue their education is a victory against Russia’s attempt to destroy Ukraine’s future, adding that Moscow will not be able to take his country’s future away.
