Kyiv, July 1 (Hibya) - Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said he was pleased to begin his visit to Japan with a meeting with Speaker of the House of Representatives Mori Eisuke.
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said he was pleased to begin his visit to Japan with a meeting with Speaker of the House of Representatives Mori Eisuke, noting that Ukraine appreciates the strengthening of parliamentary ties between the two countries and Japan's assistance to Ukraine.
Recalling Japan's support for Ukraine, Sybiha said, "The Japanese Parliament has stood with Ukraine since the very first days of Russia's full-scale invasion."
Minister Sybiha drew attention to the common security challenges facing Europe and the Indo-Pacific region, saying, "Today, Europe and the Indo-Pacific are facing shared threats, including Russia's involvement of North Korea in its war against Ukraine. We are ready to work together and share our experience to protect lives and strengthen our security."
Emphasizing the importance of solidarity between the two countries, Sybiha concluded, "We are grateful for Japan's significant assistance and solidarity."
