Syrian President al-Sharaa issues World Environment Day message
Damascus, June 5 (Hibya) - Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa emphasized the importance of protecting nature in a statement marking World Environment Day, noting that the environmental disasters experienced by Syria have strengthened solidarity and collective action.
In his World Environment Day message, Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa stressed the importance of protecting the Earth and preserving natural resources.
Al-Sharaa referred to the environmental disasters Syria has recently faced, including wildfires, floods, and inundations, highlighting the importance of solidarity and the public’s willingness to act together during these challenging times.
He also called for strengthening environmental awareness and contributing to global climate efforts in order to help “rebuild a green homeland” and create a healthier future.
