Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said he met with a NIAF delegation in Cernobbio, emphasizing the importance of the strategic and cultural ties between Italy and the United States.

Announcing the meeting, Tajani said, “In Cernobbio, I also met with friends from NIAF. This organization, which serves as a bridge between Italy and the United States, is one of the cornerstones of our foreign policy.”

Referring to the social dimension of relations between the two countries, Tajani said, “The alliance between Italy and the United States is growing stronger every day thanks to millions of Americans of Italian origin.”

Referring to the projects on the agenda, Tajani concluded his statement by saying, “We also discussed roots tourism and new initiatives to bring young Italian-Americans even closer to Italy and strengthen the deep bond between our communities.”
