Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services Director Joseph Edlow said the president had instructed him to conduct “a comprehensive and rigorous re-examination of every green card for every foreign national coming from any country of concern.”

When asked by the BBC which countries were on the list, the agency pointed to a statement issued by the White House in June that included Afghanistan, Cuba, Haiti, Iran, Somalia and Venezuela.

The announcement came after an Afghan citizen shot two National Guard soldiers in Washington on Wednesday, killing one of them.

The suspect, Rahmanullah Lakanwal, had arrived in the United States in 2021 under a program providing special immigration protection for Afghans following America’s withdrawal from Afghanistan.

The administration stated that security concerns and the expiration of work, student and tourist visas were among the reasons a country could be added to the list.

Other countries whose green card holders will be subject to this review include Burma, Chad, the Republic of the Congo and Libya.
