Donald Trump, in his statement, made evaluations regarding the renovation process of the Reflecting Pool located between the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument in Washington.

Trump criticized The New York Times over its reports on the project and claimed that the works carried out during the administrations of former Presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden had failed.

In his statement, Trump argued that large amounts of public funds had been spent over the years for the renovation of the pool, yet the project could not be completed and the area remained closed for a long time.

Trump stated that in the new work carried out with the Department of the Interior, they aimed to complete the project in a shorter time and at a lower cost, claiming that instead of a cost of approximately 400 million dollars, the project could be completed within two weeks with an expenditure of between 5 and 6 million dollars.
