Trump: We strongly stand behind Americans of faith
Washington, February 5 (Hibya) – United States (US) President Donald Trump announced new guidelines protecting the right to pray in public schools.
US President Donald Trump emphasized his administration’s determination to protect the rights of Americans of faith.
Referring to the fight against ISIS, Trump said, “For four years ISIS rebuilt itself, and the other day we crushed them because they were killing Christians in Nigeria. When Christians are attacked, terrorists know they will be struck violently and mercilessly by President Trump.”
Stating that religion is a social foundation, Trump said, “To be a great nation, you must have religion. You must have faith. You must have God. Thank God, in these days when we are gathered here today, there are many signs that religion is making a comeback.”
Making a special invitation for 2026, President Trump said, “On May 17, 2026, I am pleased to invite Americans from all across the country to gather at our National Memorial Grounds to pray, to give thanks, and to rededicate America as one nation under God.”
Announcing a new step regarding the right to pray in schools, Trump concluded, “Under the Trump administration, we stand strongly behind Americans of faith; we stop attacks on our values and traditions, and we defend religious freedom. Today, I am also pleased to announce that the Department of Education has officially released new guidelines to protect the right to pray in our public schools. This is a very important development.”
