Tsahkna: Pressure on Russia must increase
Tallinn, September 19 (Hibya) - Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna welcomed U.S. President Donald Trump's enactment of legislation imposing sanctions on Russia and Iran.
Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna said in a statement that the entry into force of the Lindsey O. Graham Russia and Iran Sanctions Act would deal a significant blow to Russia's war-fighting capacity.
Tsahkna stated that Russia's energy exports are one of the critical sources financing the war, adding that limiting Russia's ability to wage war would bring a just and lasting peace closer.
Tsahkna noted that Russia continues its attacks against Ukraine and said the international community should use all available tools to increase pressure and deepen Russia's isolation.
