European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen stated that Armenia continues to make progress on its reform path and move closer to Europe, adding that the country can count on the European Union throughout this process.

Expressing her satisfaction with the visit, von der Leyen said, "It is good to be back in Yerevan again after such a short time."

Referring to the country's democratic progress, von der Leyen said, "The latest elections once again demonstrated the strength of Armenia's democracy."

Emphasizing the EU's support for the steps taken by Armenia, the President of the European Commission stated: "Armenia continues to advance on its reform path and move closer to Europe. That is why I am here with a simple message: Armenia can count on us."
