European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen made a statement regarding the second meeting of the Palestine Donor Group.

Von der Leyen said that representatives of 65 countries and institutions attended the meeting and that nearly €900 million had been raised to support early recovery efforts in Gaza.

She stated that the "Team Gaza" initiative is supported by the European Union as well as Spain, Denmark, the United Kingdom, Germany, Norway, Finland, Italy, the Netherlands, France, Japan, Switzerland, Sweden, Belgium, and the World Bank Group.

Von der Leyen noted that the initiative aims to contribute to Gaza's recovery process.
