Zakharova: Turkey is our long-standing partner
Moscow, Jan. 30 (Hibya) – Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Turkey is a neighbor and a long-standing partner of Russia.
Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Zakharova stated that Turkey is a neighbor and a long-standing partner, saying: “We believe that the close dialogue between Russia and Turkey is of vital importance for strengthening international security, including in our shared Black Sea region, and that it contributes to finding solutions to the Middle East Peace Process.”
Noting that electricity tariffs for households in Moldova have increased by 70 percent since 2024 and by 150 percent since 2021, Zakharova said:
“However, Chisinau now proudly claims that it is no longer dependent on Russian gas. Moldova has become yet another example of how anti-Russian hostility is costly and meaningless.”
The spokeswoman said they do not see NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte’s statements in the European Parliament that NATO cannot survive without Washington as a discovery, adding: “Europeans have been told who the boss is: without the United States of America, they cannot defend themselves.”
