Zelensky: Russians attacked Ukraine with 7 cruise missiles
Kyiv, January 13 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russia’s attacks using around 300 drones and 25 missiles targeted energy facilities and civilian infrastructure.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky issued a statement regarding the air strikes carried out by the Russian army against energy lines and civilian residential areas across the country.
Sharing the toll of the attack, Zelensky said: “Last night, the Russians attacked Ukraine with around 300 attack drones, mostly of the ‘Shahed’ type, 18 ballistic missiles and 7 cruise missiles. The main targets once again were our energy production facilities and substations. Unfortunately, there was extensive destruction in residential areas and civilian infrastructure. The regions of Dnipro, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Odesa, Sumy, Kharkiv and Donetsk were hit.”
Drawing attention to civilian casualties and the energy crisis, Zelensky added: “Russia, without any military objective, launched a missile at a postal terminal in Korotych in the Kharkiv region, killing 4 people. The situation in the Kyiv region is not easy; thousands of households are currently without electricity. All emergency services are on the ground.”
