Zelensky: Sanctions and cooperation against Russia are being discussed
Kyiv, May 3 (Hibya) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that they are working on new sanction models targeting Russia’s “shadow fleet” and that some results have been achieved in this context.
Zelensky emphasized the importance of partner countries also implementing similar sanctions, noting that the United Kingdom has set an example in this regard and that other countries are expected to take similar steps. He added that these issues will be discussed during his meeting with Keir Starmer.
Zelensky underlined that his visit to Armenia is the first in the past 24 years and coincides with the European Political Community Summit. He stated that many leaders from Europe and other countries gathered in Yerevan, which sends a strong message to Russia.
Zelensky also noted that he will meet with Mark Carney, highlighting the importance of international coordination.
