According to a statement by Syria's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Hassan Al-Shaibani met with Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Al-Safadi in Aqaba.

The meeting addressed ways to develop bilateral relations in various fields and preparations for the third meeting of the Higher Coordination Council, scheduled to take place in Damascus next month. The two sides also reviewed the latest developments in Syria and the region, their implications for both countries and the importance of maintaining joint coordination.
