Albares: Escalation in Gaza must end
Madrid, August 21 (Hibya) – Spain’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, Jose Manuel Albares, stated that Israel’s military activities in Gaza must come to an end, pointing to a permanent ceasefire, the release of hostages, humanitarian aid, and a two-state solution as the path toward peace and security.
Spanish Foreign Minister Albares made a statement regarding the developments in Gaza.
Albares stressed that Israel’s military activities in Gaza must end, noting that the continuation of operations would lead to more deaths and humanitarian suffering.
Albares said: “A permanent ceasefire, the release of hostages, massive humanitarian aid, and a two-state solution are the fundamental elements of this process.” On Israel’s decision to build new settlements in East Jerusalem, he said: “This decision violates international law, divides Palestinian territories, and seeks to make the two-state solution we are working on impossible.”
