Aliyev meets JPMorgan Chairman Dimon
Davos, January 20 (Hibya) – Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev met in Davos with JPMorgan Chairman and CEO Jamie Dimon to discuss global financial markets and opportunities for strategic cooperation.
According to a statement by the Presidency of Azerbaijan, President Ilham Aliyev held a meeting on January 20 in Davos with JPMorgan’s Chairman and CEO Jamie Dimon.
Highlighting the importance of cooperation, Aliyev emphasized the significance of the existing partnership between the State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) and other Azerbaijani institutions with JPMorgan, noting that the partnership is long-term and based on mutual trust.
JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon, for his part, assessed Azerbaijan’s financial standing, praising the country’s position as a reliable partner in international financial markets and noting that it maintains a stable investment environment and consistently implements sound financial policies.
Dimon also stated that JPMorgan is interested in further deepening its partnership with SOFAZ.
It was reported that the parties exchanged views on the current state of global financial markets, the international investment environment, and macroeconomic challenges, as well as opportunities for institutional investors and prospects for long-term cooperation amid global economic processes.
