Aliyev met with Barzani at the Munich Security Conference
Munich, 13 February (Hibya) - Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev met with President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq Nechirvan Barzani at the Munich Security Conference.
On February 13, President Aliyev traveled to Germany together with First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva to attend the Munich Security Conference.
On the same day, President Aliyev met with President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq Barzani. During the meeting, Barzani’s previous visits to Azerbaijan and his meetings with the President were recalled with satisfaction, and it was emphasized that these experiences provide a good opportunity to assess cooperation prospects.
The sides exchanged views on developing relations in the economic, trade, cultural, and humanitarian fields and discussed issues of mutual interest. President Aliyev invited Nechirvan Barzani to visit Azerbaijan, and the invitation was accepted with pleasure.
