Araghchi spoke on the phone with his Egyptian counterpart
Tehran, August 20 (Hibya) – Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi held a phone conversation with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdulati.
According to a statement from the ministry, Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi and Egyptian Foreign Minister Abdulati spoke by phone to exchange views on regional developments.
During the call, both senior diplomats expressed deep concern over the ongoing genocide in Gaza and strongly condemned Israel’s illegal and criminal plan to occupy Gaza City and forcibly displace its residents. They stressed the urgent need to stop the genocide in Gaza immediately and to expedite the delivery of humanitarian aid to the region.
Abdulati informed Araghchi about Egypt and Qatar’s latest efforts to secure a ceasefire in Gaza.
