Costa: We remain committed to the reunification of Cyprus
Brussels, July 17 (Hibya) – President of the EU Council Antonio Costa stated that the European Union remains firmly committed to the reunification of Cyprus in line with UN Security Council resolutions and EU principles.
Costa emphasized that the EU continues its strong commitment to the reunification of Cyprus, based on UN resolutions and core EU principles.
He expressed full support for the efforts of the UN and Secretary-General António Guterres to reach a negotiated solution and wished success for today’s important meeting. “The EU is ready to play its full role in the process,” Costa said.
