Dutch Foreign Minister Van Weel: If Russia wants peace, it must stop the attacks
Amsterdam, December 27 (Hibya) – Dutch Foreign Minister David van Weel made strong remarks, stating that despite Russia’s claims that it wants peace, it continues its attacks against Ukraine.
Van Weel recalled that Russia bombed Ukraine during the Christmas period and again the previous night using drones and ballistic missiles, stressing that such actions are incompatible with a desire for peace. The Dutch minister said these attacks are not a sign of peace and stated that if the authorities in Moscow truly wish to enter a serious diplomatic process, they must immediately halt their attacks on Ukraine.
