Brussels, August 21 (Hibya) – European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen held a meeting with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez regarding the wildfires in Spain.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced that she had met with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez. She emphasized that Europe stands by Spain in its fight against wildfires, and added:
"Our forces are on the ground together with Spanish firefighters battling the flames. And the next day we will be there to support recovery with our European Solidarity Fund."
