Fletcher: I called for greater shared ambition, purpose and speed on Syria
New York, August 21 (Hibya) – UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Tom Fletcher stated that he called for greater shared ambition, purpose and speed on Syria at the Security Council.
UN Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Tom Fletcher noted that he made this call at the Security Council regarding Syria.
In his statement, Fletcher said:
"Implement our plan to save as many lives as possible; secure our access, funding and protection; and move from decades of hardship and destruction to a Syrian-led recovery and hope."
