Fletcher: We are launching our plan to reach 114 million people with aid
New York, June 16 (Hibya) – UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Tom Fletcher said they have launched plans to deliver life-saving aid to 114 million of the world’s most needy people.
Fletcher stated that they initiated a plan to provide life-saving assistance to 114 million people most in need across the globe.
He added, “Due to cuts, we’ve had to prioritize extremely. But we are determined to do the best we can with what we have. In 2024, we’re only asking for 1% of what the world spends on defense.”
