Guterres calls on leaders to act at COP30
New York, November 6 (Hibya) – United Nations (UN) Secretary-General António Guterres delivered a message to world leaders during the COP30 Climate Conference held in Belém, Brazil.
Guterres highlighted the urgency of global action against the climate crisis, saying, “We can choose to lead or to slide into catastrophe.” The UN Secretary-General called on leaders to act with speed, scale, and solidarity.
“Stand with science, defend justice and future generations,” Guterres said, emphasizing that COP30 must be a turning point for climate action.
