Tajani: Italy aims to strengthen cooperation with Syria
Rome, November 6 (Hibya) – Italian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani met with Syrian President Ahmad al-Shara and Minister Al Shaibani on the sidelines of the COP30 event held in Brazil.
During the meeting, bilateral relations and the situation in the Middle East were discussed. Tajani emphasized that Italy is at the forefront of efforts to ensure stability in Syria and to support a peaceful and inclusive political process. He also noted that efforts to protect the region’s significant Christian communities will continue.
The two sides agreed to revitalize economic relations and strengthen joint cooperation through the expertise of Italian companies.
