Deniz polisinden Adalar çevresinde 'deniz taksi' denetimi

Israeli President Isaac Herzog addressed the security of local government representatives and the structural security issues threatening social peace due to the rise of organized crime and violence across the country.

Expressing his sadness after hearing about the attack and its social implications, Herzog said, “I was shocked when I heard last night about the assassination attempt against Jadeidi-Makr local council head Suhail Melhem and his deputy Obeid Obeid.”

Drawing attention to the loss of life and security gaps within the Arab community, Herzog stated, “This is a serious and horrific incident that adds to the widespread wave of violence that causes severe harm to the Arab community and claims lives almost every day.”

Evaluating the broader impact of such attacks on national security, Herzog said, “This phenomenon constitutes a strategic threat to the State of Israel and contributes to the dangerous and increasing acts of violence affecting all segments of our society.”

Recalling that local administrators had previously been targeted and wishing a speedy recovery to the injured, Herzog concluded his statement by saying, “I spoke with Suhail a few months ago about the threats they face while carrying out their duties. I pray for the swift recovery of the injured and strongly urge that this terrible incident be confronted with every possible means.”
