In a statement issued by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), it was reported that an Air Force aircraft, operating under the guidance of Gaza Division forces, neutralized a Hamas member who had been planning imminent sniper attacks against IDF forces operating in the southern Gaza Strip.

The statement noted that the neutralized individual posed an immediate threat to IDF forces and that a targeted operation was carried out to eliminate this threat.

It was also stated that prior to the strike, steps were taken to minimize harm to civilians, including the use of precision weapons and aerial surveillance.
