Italian Deputy Foreign Minister Guariglia met with Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi
Tehran, June 8 (Hibya) – Riccardo Guariglia, Deputy Foreign Minister of Italy, who is in Tehran for the fifth round of political consultations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Italian Republic, met with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi.
During the meeting, the Iranian Foreign Minister highlighted the long-standing friendly relations between Iran and Italy in the political, economic, and cultural fields, emphasizing Iran's readiness to expand and deepen its relations with various European countries, particularly with Italy, based on mutual respect and shared interests.
Araghchi stressed the importance of regular and continuous political consultations between Iran and Italy, stating that such exchanges can enhance mutual understanding of each other’s positions, contribute to the development of bilateral relations, and promote regional and international stability and security.
Guariglia expressed satisfaction with the constructive and fruitful discussions with the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister and emphasized his country’s desire to deepen and expand bilateral relations between Rome and Tehran on the basis of mutual and common interests.
