Lahbib: We are providing additional aid to Congo to protect the most vulnerable
Brussels, October 30 (Hibya) – The EU Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness, and Crisis Management, Hadja Lahbib, announced that the European Union has allocated an additional €9 million to support the most vulnerable affected by the humanitarian crisis in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo.
This additional aid is added to the €120 million package previously planned for the Great Lakes region for 2025. Commissioner Lahbib stated that the assistance aims specifically to protect populations affected by violence and mass displacement.
