Macron: We are entering a new era in relations between France and Cyprus
Paris, December 15 (Hibya) – French President Emmanuel Macron announced that they hosted the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, in Paris and signed a Strategic Partnership Agreement.
French President Macron said they welcomed President Christodoulides of Cyprus in Paris. “At this important moment, I am pleased to welcome my friend Nikos Christodoulides to Paris,” he stated.
Macron noted that with the signing of the Strategic Partnership Agreement today, relations between the two countries have entered a new phase. “Today, with the signing of the Strategic Partnership Agreement, we are entering a new era in relations between our countries. We are strengthening our cooperation in strategic areas,” he said.
Recalling that Cyprus will assume the Presidency of the Council of the European Union on January 1, 2026, Macron said: “Cyprus can count on our full support in building a stronger, more sovereign and competitive Europe.”
