Minister Budrys met with President Metsola
Brussels, 3 December (Hibya) – Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys announced that he met in Brussels with the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola.
Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys stated that during his meeting in Brussels with European Parliament President Roberta Metsola, they discussed Belarus’ ongoing hybrid attacks against European Union (EU) member states.
Commenting on the meeting, Budrys said: “The actions of the Lukashenko regime are not accidental; from weaponized migration to balloon smuggling, these are deliberate, organized operations against the EU.”
He added that the regime deliberately threatens the safety of civil aviation, illegally seizes company assets, engages in blackmail, and spreads disinformation. “These are attacks against the entire EU. To ensure the safety of our citizens, a swift, decisive, and united EU response is essential,” Budrys emphasized.
Budrys thanked the European Parliament for its call for the return of illegally seized EU property and for urging the European Commission and the Council of the EU to take action.
