Moldova Issues Protest Note to Russia
Chișinău, 26 November (Hibya) – Moldova’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popșoi summoned the Russian Ambassador to the ministry and delivered a protest note after six Russian drones violated Moldova’s airspace.
Moldova’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Popșoi summoned Russia’s appointed ambassador to the ministry due to the illegal violation of the country’s airspace by six Russian-made drones.
Popșoi stated that the protest note sent to Moscow was prepared because of a sovereignty violation and security risk, emphasizing that the incident seriously undermines Moldova’s sovereignty and endangers both national and regional security.
Popșoi added, “We demanded that steps be taken to prevent a recurrence.”
