Foreign Minister Sybiha thanked Defence Minister Anand for Canada’s continued support for Ukraine.

He noted that the meeting focused on peace efforts, recent developments in Ukraine’s work with the United States, and upcoming steps. “We have momentum and will seize every opportunity to bring peace closer. We are grateful to Canada and all our partners who support our peace efforts,” he said.

Sybiha emphasized that they discussed steps to intensify pressure on Russia, draft resolutions to be introduced at the UN, and mechanisms that would allow frozen Russian assets to be fully used for Ukraine’s defense and reconstruction. “I am grateful to Minister Anand for her personal attention and solidarity toward Ukraine,” he added.
