UNRWA: The scale of destruction in Gaza is beyond measure
New York, October 29 (Hibya) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) issued a statement regarding the extent of destruction in the Gaza Strip.
According to the UNRWA statement, the destruction in Gaza is “beyond measure,” noting that the region contains over 61 million tons of debris. The agency said the debris includes homes, schools, and hospitals, and that many buildings have been completely destroyed.
The statement added: “In Gaza, where living conditions have become unbearable, people continue to move constantly in search of safety and a dignified life.”
